A Ministry for the Wandering Soul

Weeping may linger for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

Welcome

A place for anyone
on the spiritual journey

Greetings to you in the name of all that is holy and good. My name is Beth Cantrell. I am an ordained pastor and an experienced faith-based advocate, and I am so glad you found your way here.

This is a spiritual care ministry for anyone. It is multigenerational — for people who have a deep history with the church, and for people who would describe themselves as spiritual but not Christian or born again. The process is straightforward: for thirty-minute blocks at a time, we discuss what you want or need spiritually. We conclude with either prayer or affirmation.

I try to meet you where you are. You get to choose your topics. You get to choose your goals. You get to be heard about what matters most to you.

This is not therapy. I am not a trained therapist. This is pastoral care — I listen to your thoughts and stories. As we progress I ask questions, and we get to know each other. I will say what I believe and make suggestions according to my best wisdom and ability. I won't be here to convert you to my faith.

Who Is This For?

Come as you are

You don't need to have it figured out. You don't need to belong to a church. You don't need certainty about what you believe. This ministry holds space for all of it — the faith and the doubt, the hope and the grief.

A Special Focus

When the body leads
to spiritual struggle

If I have a particular passion, it is the intersection between body and spirit. I'm not a very healthy person, and I know firsthand how physical illness ripples outward — into loneliness, doubt, strained relationships, and loss of faith.

For those of us whose physical lives lead to spiritual difficulties, I offer a ministry of accompaniment. You don't have to carry it alone. Going through physical illness too often causes social strife — friends drift, family doesn't know what to say, and the silence can feel unbearable.

I am here to sit with you in that silence, and help you find your way back toward the light.
